The Pousada

A feet in the sand and head in the clouds pousada at Itapororoca Beach

Trancoso is a charming village full of magic. Itapororoca Beach is one of the most private and exclusive in the region. A beach almost exclusively yours, with more shells than sunbathers. On one side you will be surrounded by the sea, on the other by the forest. In the middle, the pousada, immersed in the restinga (coastal tropical forest).

At Pousada Tutabel, it feels like a beach house. Every moment is an invitation to slow down and be in touch with the exuberant nature of Bahia. The immersion in Bahian culture also happens when it comes to gastronomy, with a menu inspired by local flavors and aromas.

Enjoy the sun and relax. Pousada Tutabel offers the comfort of intimate 18 suites, swimming pool, gym, sauna and experiences on the beach and forest, in a  Natural Heritage Private Reserve (RPPN)

Sophistication extends to every corner of the pousada, whose architecture is in perfect harmony with its surroundings, made up of wooden structures, large windows and areas integrated with the garden and swimming pool.

At the Rio do Brasil RPPN, just a few minutes away from the pousada, visitors experience not only an immersion in the forest, but also in time and history while kayaking on the “first mapped river in the country”.

At the reserve, you can also dive into the forest by taking short or long hikes, observing birds and stars, and enjoying the children’s activities. It’s an invitation to a real environmental education adventure.

On the beach, visitors get a chance to slow down and connect with Bahia’s exuberant nature. Activities such as stand-up paddle, snorkeling and fat biking are also available.

And if you miss the hustle and bustle and feel like hanging out with people, no problem. It only takes 15 minutes to get to the center of Trancoso, where you can find everything! The Quadrado is home to colorful old houses protected by IPHAN (National Historic and Artistic Heritage Institute), sophisticated restaurants, cool bars, coffee shops, charming little boutiques and ateliers, all next to the iconic São João Batista Church.
